# Live Shopping Streams

## Purpose
Turn a livestream into a selling event. This skill plans the run of show, builds in scarcity and urgency mechanics, keeps the chat driving purchases in real time, and handles the post-stream work that captures late buyers. It targets the format's real advantage: live commerce events report conversion rates up to 30%, far above the 2-3% of a standard product page (eMarketer/industry estimates via SQ Magazine and 9cv9, 2026).

## Workflow
1. **Define the objective and the batch.** Pick one clear goal (sell-through, list growth, launch) and a themed batch of 3-5 complementary products. Unsorted catalogs cause decision fatigue; themes sell ("5-step glow routine", "desk setup essentials").
2. **Build the run of show.** Use the 5-block flow in `references/runbook.md`: hook (first 3 min), brand intro, demo block, urgency block, close. Open with a hook inside the first 30 seconds. End every stream by teasing the next one.
3. **Demo, don't tell.** Live, unscripted product stress tests: fabric stretch, true sizing, real use on camera. Answer viewer questions live; the demo is where trust gets built and returns get prevented.
4. **Run the scarcity engine.** Every stream gets at least two real scarcity mechanics: a live inventory counter ("only 40 left"), a countdown flash sale, a limited drop, or a pinned discount code that expires on air. Scarcity only works when it is true; fake timers burn trust fast.
5. **Drive the chat toward purchase.** Assign a dedicated moderator. Use chat prompts (shade A vs B, "type 1 if you've tried it"), call out buyers by name, read the order feed aloud ("12 sold in the last minute"). Keep checkout inside the stream: comment-to-buy or one-tap product cards.
6. **Close and follow up.** Recap deals before sign-off. Within 24 hours: send a recap post with the top moments and a final-buy window; clip the best demo moments into shoppable short videos.

## Output Contract
- A written run of show (block-by-block with times and host cues) before the stream.
- A scarcity plan naming the real mechanic per product (units left, timer, drop window).
- A chat-moderation brief: who moderates, what prompts run, how spam is handled.
- A post-stream checklist: recap send, clips cut, buy links checked, numbers logged.

## Operating Rules
1. Every factual claim about the market must be verified against a primary source; no invented numbers, quotes, or events. Unverifiable claims get cut or framed as opinion.
2. Scarcity must be real. If the product is not actually limited, use a different urgency mechanic (time window, stream-only bundle) rather than faking stock.
3. Never let the stream start cold: the first 30 seconds carry the hook, the offer, or the tease. Dead air at the open kills retention.
4. Keep the buy friction at one tap: every product shown has a visible product card or comment keyword. Viewers who leave the stream to check out usually do not come back.
5. Chat is the channel, not a sideshow: the moderator is a co-host, reacting to comments, surfacing questions, and pinning offers in real time.
