# Social Storefronts

## Purpose
Turn an Instagram account, Facebook Page, or TikTok presence into a working
storefront. Covers the full setup path on Meta (Instagram Shopping + Facebook
Shops, both driven by one Commerce Manager catalog) and on TikTok Shop
(Seller Center registration, shop configuration, catalog sync), plus the
fulfillment hooks that let your own systems receive orders and shipments.
This skill does setup and plumbing, not selling strategy. For affiliate
strategy and live-selling show formats, see the tiktok-shop-strategy and
live-shopping-streams skills.

## Workflow
1. **Pick the platform(s).** Instagram and Facebook share one setup in Meta
Commerce Manager. TikTok Shop is separate and registers per region.
2. **Meta path** (references/meta_setup.md): confirm eligibility, create the
Commerce Manager shop, choose a checkout mode, build the catalog, submit
for review, then enable shopping on Instagram and lay out the Facebook
   Shop.
3. **TikTok path** (references/tiktok_setup.md): pick a region's Seller
Center, gather the right documents for an individual or corporate account,
register, configure the warehouse and shipping templates, link the content
account, and sync products either manually or through an integration.
4. **Fulfillment hooks** (references/fulfillment_hooks.md): subscribe to
order and package events so orders flow into your OMS/WMS/ERP instead of
living only in dashboards. Verify webhook signatures with
   `bin/verify_tiktok_webhook.py`.
5. **Verify before calling it done:** catalog items all show available and
priced, test checkout completes on each channel, one real webhook event
   arrives and passes signature verification.

## Output Contract
- For each platform: account created and approved, catalog connected with
sync method named, checkout mode selected and tested, shop surfaced on the
  profile/Page/app.
- For fulfillment: webhook endpoint URL, subscribed event types, one
verified receipt of an order event, tracking write-back tested.
- A short handoff note listing what is live, what is pending approval, and
the next action with its owner. No launch claims until a real test
  purchase or event confirms it.

## Operating Rules
- One catalog feeds both Instagram and Facebook. Never run two manually
managed catalogs for the same products; they drift and get items rejected.
- Native in-app checkout on Meta is US-only and demands real business
paperwork (US address, US bank, EIN, state tax registrations, business
rep identity). Outside the US, plan on website checkout from day one.
- TikTok Shop registers separately per region. One email or phone number
can only register once; use a dedicated shop email.
- Physical goods only on Instagram Shopping. Digital goods are not eligible.
- Product images and IDs must match the catalog exactly. Stock counts must
stay honest; overselling on a social channel kills the shop's standing
  fast.
- Never claim a webhook is working until a live signed event verifies.
Dashboard polling is not a fulfillment pipeline.
- Fees and approval times change. Confirm current referral/transaction fees
and review windows in Seller Center or Commerce Manager before quoting
  them to anyone.
